The on duty manager Ryan came and greeted us, while checking to ensure the quality of our food and dining experience met our expectations. The smokiness of the fried chicken was a pleasant departure from an Americana iconic fare! Our cocktails were superb as well. We both ordered the smoked fried chicken after our salads and onion rings. She gained assurances from the chef staff that particular care would be afforded to eliminate risk. she took time to identify possible risks of cross-contamination. She clearly listened as I explained my aversion to pork, crustaceans, etc. The Haywire Restaurant impresses you from the elegant entryway, with wine storage visible as you walk down the aisle past the meat preparation area, where fine aged steaks are shown as examples of what your palate will soon be salivating over! After being seated I spoke with our server (alone) & told her that I was paying & about the birthdays. This visit was right in the middle of both. Took my son & soon to be daughter-in-law to dinner to celebrate both of their birthdays. The manager (Christina) then mocked us with a fake and demeaning statement "well I'm sorry this is the worst meal you have ever had." I wanted to bless her heart but felt it beneath us. The manager inquired to the meal at which point we expressed a lack of satisfaction. She then disappeared and then repeated with her manager. Near the conclusion of the meal the waitress could not seem to process my credit card. I observed the interaction and noticed a check was never offered to the children but they certainly rated top service. We also observed the server going out of her way for a table of eight middle school children which seemed odd. After our appetizers she tried to finish our order and give us the check which seemed odd. to poor responsiveness and professionalism. Things were very pleasant until I inquired about using the certificate and then the service dropped. The server seemed confused and was more interested in helping all the surrounding tables than my wife and I. My wife and I had dinner using a gift certificate.
